Abigail's love of animals started at a very young age when she tried to hide a stray cat in her parents' house. Since then she has had numerous pets including cats, birds, lizards, hamsters and bunnies. She lives in Manhattan but loves Bergen Veterinary Hospital so much that she commutes every day! Abigail and her husband have a daughter named Maya who loves animals just as much as she does and needs to snuggle with their two cats, Oliver and Gingy every day! Abigail loves being the first person to greet you and your pet when you walk through the door at Bergen Veterinary Hospital and has enough smooches and love for all the animals that come to the hospital!
Janice has been a receptionist with the BVH team since 2015 and she loves her job. She enjoys greeting you and your pet everyday with her infectious smile.
Debra joined our BVH team in 2017. Her compassion and enthusiasm lead to a successful transition from working with children with autism to working with animals and the owners who care for them. An animal lover herself, Debra resides in Bergen county with her family, along with a dog and cat, which she rescued from local shelters.
Before starting to work at Bergen Veterinary Hospital in January 2017, Kasia worked as a veterinary technician in Poland were she also volunteered at dog shelters and at the zoo. At a young age Kasia cared for and loved helping different types of animals. While she has always enjoyed and loved all animals there is a special place in her heart for Pit Bulls. On her free time, she enjoys training and showing pit bulls for events. She is a member of the club Tristate ADBA PIT Bull Club that organizes events for the ADBA American Dog Breeders Association. She is an ADBA Top Athletic Dog Judge. She owns two Pitbulls, Trinity and Sunny Boy. Trinity is a Grand Champion and has won many sports competitions for 1st and 2nd place. Trinity is in 2nd place in the World Champion Ranking. Sunny Boy is an ADBA Champion and he is 4th place in the World Regular Dog Ranking.
Rob graduated Fenton High school in Fenton Michigan in 2000. Rob joined the US Navy on June 22, 2000 and served 2 deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Rob graduated University of Michigan in May of 2004 and graduated Columbia University in June 2008. Rob has two French Bulldogs. Gizmo 8 and Spike (pictured) 1 and Lola his English bulldog who is 2 also the boss of the house, Mop his 2 year old Persian cat. For fun Rob enjoys Kayaking, Biking and working in the yard.
Jimmy joined Bergen Veterinary Hospital in June of 2017. He is currently studying to become a licensed veterinary technician at Bergen Community College. He would like to become a veterinarian in the future. He has been quoted saying 'Working BVH has become a big step forward for me. I love everyone who I am working with here. I am learning and experiencing so much, and I am looking to learning much more!'
Kimmy has been working with us since January 2018. She started as an intern and is now a full time technician. Before working with us, she worked with animal rescue for 5 years. Kimmy is currently finishing school at BCC to become a licensed veterinary technician. She has always had a passion for helping animals and now has 3 dogs of her own.
Lara Stein is a Bergen County native with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. She earned her Bachelors of Science from Allegheny College in 2015 and has won awards for her undergraduate research on wolves. Lara interned at La Marina Zoo in Costa Rica for two summers and worked at the Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education center while in college. She is the proud owner of a menagerie of pets including her extraordinarily friendly Border Collie mix, Sadie; 19-year-old Senegal parrot, two red- eared slider turtles, three gargoyle geckos, and an assortment of fish. Lara has a very special place in her heart for animal education and hopes to one day own her own exotic animal rescue & education center. She always has a fun animal fact at the ready and enjoys helping clients with all their pets’ needs.
Maylin has been working at Bergen Veterinary Hospital since October 2017. She started working as a high school senior and will be attending Bergen Community College in the fall. Maylin hopes to become a veterinarian. Maylin is Quoted as saying “Working at BVH has allowed me to gain the knowledge and experience I will need for the future. I’ve always had an enormous amount of love for animals and being able to help them when they can’t help themselves is what I love to do”.
