Lia was born in Ocean Township, NJ and has recently moved to the Bergen County area. Growing up Lia has always had a strong passion for our four legged friends. She has had many Cats, Dogs, and not to mention a couple of fish. Lia is excited to be part of the Bergen Vet team and looks forward to meeting you and your four legged pals.
Jen has worked in the veterinary field since 2005 as a veterinary receptionist and assistant. Jennifer is a pet sitter, has fostered kittens for the Bergen County Animal shelter and is a volunteer with Best Friends Animal Society. Her love for animals began as a child, having dogs, cats & a rabbit as pets growing up. Jen is origanally from Paterson , NJ and currently reside in Bergen County with her Fiancee, Jerry.
Beth Olson has been with the Bergen Veterinary Hospital since January of this year. Her great love for animals and a never-ending passion for medicine had led her to enter the veterinary field more than 20 years ago. She has a Concentration in Small Animal Care, dog grooming, and received her state certification for Animal Control Officer from Kean University. She also attended Bergen Community College to receive her certification as a Patient Care Technician. She has a special interest in Small Animal surgery and Dentistry. She enjoys her time off with her family, her Chihuahua named Emma, and spending time at the beach.
Paulynne grew up in the Philippines surrounded by many animals- dogs, cats, turtles, fish and rabbits among many others that she fostered. Paulynne is active in local animal advocate groups and travels to developing countries to bring veterinary care and promote animal welfare. Her ardent desire to work and help animals has driven Paulynne to shift careers from human resources and pursue veterinary medicine. She is currently a pre-vet student. During her free time she enjoys travelling, cooking, hiking, backpacking and enjoying the outdoors.
Natalie Lozada was born in Rochester,NY. She had many animals growing up as a child including dogs, cats,hamsters,rabbits and an iguana. She moved to NJ in 2002 and started as a volunteer at Bergen Animal Hospital in 2003 after 2 weeks as a volunteer she was hired as a vet assistant. She has continued to learn and grow in the field. We are happy to have Natalie’s caring nature and love of all animals here with us at Bergen Veterinary Hospital. During her free time Natalie spends time with her 3 dogs Reese,Kiki and Nalia and her rabbit Carlton and Bearded Dragon Mayhem. She also enjoys writing and has had a story of a dog she rescued published in Puppy USA Magazine.
Stef has spent the last 20 years in Law Enforcement. As she winds down her last 5 years to retirement, she plans to cross over into a career dedicated to animals. Stef is currently working towards a degree in Veterinary Technology at Bergen Community College to become a Certified Vet Tech. She is very compassionate about all animals, but has a very special place in her heart for Pit Bulls. Pictured with Stef is the love of her life, Sasha, a red nose Pit Bull that she rescued running the streets of Bayonne. Stef is very excited about working at BVH and for being given the opportunity to learn from Dr. Suss and her awesome vet staff.
Ken was born in New Brunswick, NJ, and is a recent transplant to Bergen County, after growing up in the Middlesex County area. He has always enjoyed animals, and caring for and helping them. Ken worked at an animal hospital in Middlesex County for 5 years before moving up. In his free time Ken enjoys writing stories, cooking and spending time with his wife and 1 year old son. Ken is currently a student at Seton Hall pursuing a degree in Social Work.
